Eric Paugh, the acting superintendent of Falcon School District 49 writes in Sunday’s Gazette referring to a public school graduate in the year 2020:

“With new, innovative approaches to public schooling, they have had more educational opportunities specifically developed for their learning styles and preferences. This has enabled them to become creative thinkers and problem solvers poised to take on the unique challenges of the 21st century.

They have had access to rapidly developing technology, and their school environment has been rich in opportunities to gain hands-on experiences in various fields of learning to ensure everyone is achieving at high levels.”

I like Eric’s vision for 2020. Is it already happening as he suggests in the rest of the article or is it truly a decade away or more?

See the rest of Paugh’s thoughts here.

Do you dream? Not just aspirations, but real dreams that go beyond what even seems plausible. Colorado Springs is dreaming together. We’re dreaming for something great to happen in our city.

You’ll be surprised at what people are dreaming for our city. Charles Sakai of Colorado Springs writes:

I invite you to step outside the box for a few moments and consider the following revolutionary concept: instead of throwing away people who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder, let’s start harnessing their human potential!

Another Dreamer, James Sack is excited about what is happening in School District 11 after the City set up a new Urban Growth Boundary:

Now, with boundaries in place, there is in-filling and new life in what was in 2008, shameful (on city planners’ part). Way to go Colorado Springs!
