DreamCity Timeline:

October, 2008:
Dream City: Vision 2020 kicks off with a party at America the Beautiful Park. Its launch also coincides with the launch of the Pikes Peak Library District's All Pikes Peak Reads program, which, in 2008, focused on the history of the region and the dust bowl.

October, 2008:
The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) hosts an Arts Summit at the East Library

April, 2009:
The Pikes Peak Library District kicks off an art contest geared toward both Dream City and its new All Pikes Peak Reads theme, which centers on rocket ships and the future.

January through June, 2009:
Leadership Pikes Peak conducts hundreds of community conversations about the future.

January through May, 2009:
The Gazette runs a series of stories about local leaders and visionaries, and what they have to say about the community's future as well as visions and people who have shaped who were are today.

May - June, 2009:
May - June, 2009: Dream City topic-specific Circles involve hundreds of local citizens in synthesizing the vision input and preparing for the Summit.

July 18, 2009:
Community Summit at Coronado High School. All local citizens are welcome to take part in what will be both a culmination and a new beginning for Dream City.
